A no clean and a water washable solder paste is used to demonstrate the cleaning effectiveness of Nano Stencil Clean, the only true water-based cleaner designed to safely clean all types of solder paste from nano-coated stencils.  Other cleaning chemicals claim to be “water-based”, but are simply solvents with a little water added to give the impression of an environmentally safe water-based cleaner.  Cleaners that state “mix before use” indicate the solvents and water will separated after a short time.  Problems created by such cleaners include potential health problem, solvent odors in the work space and high VOC content.
